Ta referenca je v prvi vrsti namenjana sladkornim bolnikom tipa 1, ki jim slu\u017ei za nadzorovanje nivoja krvne glukoze.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f7a593e elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"f7a593e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-78fe7454 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"78fe7454\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u017divila z vi\u0161jim GI povzro\u010dijo hitrej\u0161e in vi\u0161je povi\u0161anje ravni sladkorja v krvi, medtem ko \u017eivila z ni\u017ejim GI povzro\u010dijo po\u010dasnej\u0161e in manj\u0161e povi\u0161anje. Ocene GI se gibljejo v razponu od 0 do 100. \u017divila, ki imajo vrednostj GI \u2265 70, se uvr\u0161\u010dajo pod \u017eivila z visokim glikemi\u010dnim indeksom. \u017divilja, ki imajo vrednost GI \u2264 55, spadajo pod \u017eivila z nizkim glikemi\u010dnim indeksom. GI pa je uporaben za posameznike s sladkorno boleznijo. Kar v praksi tudi, bolj kot ne, po\u010dnemo. Obrok je le redkokdaj sestavljen le iz enega \u017eivila (npr. kruha). Dodajanje beljakovin, ma\u0161\u010dob in vlaknin k obroku bo vplivale na ni\u017ejo vrednost GI samega obroka.
